Don Goble, Ladue School District’s Broadcast Technology and Film Instructor, will receive the Gateway Media Literacy Partners GMLP Charles Klotzer Media Literacy Award at the opening session of the organization’s literacy week on Nov. 6, 2011.
Goble is receiving the “Educator” award for his ongoing media literacy education efforts at Ladue Horton Watkins High School through his course instruction, as well as his roles as co-director of LHS-TV. Goble is the only educator receiving the award. One other individual, Don Corrigan of the Kirkwood-Webster Times, will be recognized, as well as one organization — Webster University.
Goble received high marks for his media literacy workshops, presented nationwide, which underscore how to integrate video and media into core curricula in a classroom setting.
