Ladue Horton Watkins High School senior Emily Bell has been invited to participate in the George Mason University Extemporaneous Speaking Round Robin for the second year in a row!

The Round Robin will take place on a Friday with the Patriot Games Classic Invitational Tournament taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Both events are hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia on the first weekend of December.

At the first tournament of the 2011-2012 season (Brentwood-Oakville Invitational), Emily placed first in extemporaneous speaking with perfect scores. This is after a terrific end to the 2010-2011 season in which Emily qualified to the National Forensic League National Tournament!

In order to receive an invitation, Emily had to submit a lengthy application detailing why she felt she was qualified to compete, what she would gain by competing, and her noteworthy accomplishments in extemporaneous speaking over the past year. Emily competed in both the round robin and the invitational tournament in 2010.
