Old Bonhomme Elementary Cuts Ribbon on Outdoor Classroom

Students and staff attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Old Bonhomme Elementary school celebrated the completion of an outdoor classroom on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Teachers and students at Old Bonhomme Elementary will now be able to use the tiered seating for instruction, space to read or write, and making outdoor connections and explorations. It also serves as an inviting and quiet area for students to visit or rest during recess.

The outdoor classroom was made possible through funds raised by the Old Bonhomme Parent Teacher Organization through their hosting of a 2010 Fabulous Fiesta Auction and a 2011 Trivia Night.
