Ladue Horton Watkins High School English-Language Arts teacher Kim Gutchewsky was recently notified that her article “Transforming Reading Education: One District’s Expansion of Literacy Responsibility” will be published by the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) in the Educational Leadership’s Summer Online 2012 issue. The issue will be solely focused on reading skills.

Gutchewsky’s article showcases what was done with the Best Practices summer workshop (2010) and the follow-up that continued at Ladue Middle School and LHWHS for  the next school year. ASCD’s publications are among the most respected in professional development in the nation. The summer online magazine has a world-wide audience and is open to non-members.
