2011 graduate Melissa Wang recently co-authored an article in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. The article is entitled: “Structural and Kinetic Analysis of the Unnatural Fusion Protein 4-Coumaroyl-CoA Ligase::Stilbene Synthase.”
Melissa Wang is currently a freshman at the California Institute of Technology. During the summer of 2010, as a student of Ladue Horton Watkins High School, Wang participated in the Students and Teachers as Research Scientists (STARS) Program. She was in Oliver Yu’s (a co-author’s) lab at the Danforth Center as a participant in the STARS program and helped to begin the project outlined in the article.
