LMS Students Excel at National French Exam

Eleven eighth grader students took the National French Exam on March 8, 2014.  Four students placed nationally on the “Le Grand Concours” test, a national competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.  Students are evaluated for their written, oral and listening comprehension skills in French.  Nearly 100,000 students in all 50 states competed in the 2014 event.

National Winners are:  Audrey Wang (6th), Glen Morgenstern (9th), Sarah Eisenman (10th), and Grace Wallace (10th).  Only the top ten places are recognized nationally, however two students placed 11th (Evyn Levy and Fatima Sheriff), and 15th was Maayan Gazit.
Local recognition was as follows:  Audrey Wang (1st), Grace Wallace, Glen Morgenstern and Sarah Eisenman (4th), Fatima Sheriff and Evyn Levy (5th), Aly Francone (6th), Maayan Gazit (9th).
