The Ladue Middle School (LMS) Sixth Grade Camp program is receiving “Promising Practices” recognition from the Character Education Partnership, the same group that recognizes National Schools of Character. Promising Practices is a much smaller, more targeted award program.  Its purpose is to share good character education initiatives with schools across the country. The programs chosen are shared through publications and online media.
LMS’s application was called “Mihaska – Once We Were Five, Now We Are One! – 6th Grade Camp”  It described how students are united from different elementary schools into one community by having them match puzzle piece name tags to each other.
