Six Ladue Horton Watkins High School students participated in the 2014 Students and Teachers as Research Scientists (STARS) program at the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL.) STARS pairs students with top research mentors from the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Saint Louis University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the host institution, UMSL.
This year’s participants were: Susanna Barrett, Huayu Gao, Tom Liu, Adeel Qayum, Anthony Ton, Nevel Vaidyan.
During the course of the program, students are required to write research papers. This year’s participants wrote the following papers:
