High School Students Go Blue for Children’s Grief Awareness Day

Students stand with the display for grief awareness.Children’s Grief Awareness Day has been observed since 2008 on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Since the holiday season can be an especially difficult time after a death for a grieving child, organizers chose November to bring awareness.

LHWHS students participated in wearing blue on Children’s Grief Awareness Day. They also raised $290 in donations. According to Children’s Grief Awareness Day, one child out of every 20 will have a parent who dies before they graduate from high school.
