Building Recognition Early Childhood Center Staff Staff Awards

Ladue Early Childhood Center’s Ayres receives December Excellence in Education Award

Ladue Early Childhood Center (LECC) Preschool Teacher Dee Ayres began working in the district in 2007. LECC Director Kerri Wetzel says Dee is a “role model in her management skills and working with children, and is well respected by her colleagues.”

She brings her genuine love of learning and enthusiasm to the classroom every day and teachers often peek into her classroom to see her latest creations on the bulletin boards or what fun and engaging activities her students are enjoying.

Dee recently decided the best way to get into the holiday spirit would be to compile a Holiday CD with staff members’ favorite songs. This wasn’t the master music mixer’s first try.  She also created a Back-To-School CD at the beginning of the school year.

As a member of the LECC Social Committee, she helps to coordinate fun activities and events which focus on socialization, appreciation, recognition, wellness and philanthropy.  On top of that, she also offers up her family’s art factory as a location for LECC parties.

Dee has been married to Tim Ayres for 17 years. They have two teenagers who attend Ladue Middle School: Maggie is 14, and her sister, Bridget, is 13.

She is a graduate of Truman State University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education.
