The Boy Scouts of America has bestowed its highest award on Jess Rothberg, a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. His project involved clearing an area behind the Temple Israel parking lot to build a fire ring and benches, benefitting his troop and the Temple.
Community outreach runs in his family. Jess’ older sister, Leah Rothberg, an LHWHS alumni also earned the Girl Scouts’ highest award.
