LHWHS Speech & Debate Team Takes Third Place in Competition

More than a dozen Ladue Horton Watkins High School students came home winners from the Marquette Invitational Tournament held on Feb. 13-14, 2015 in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Junior Simi Falako won the “I Speak for Others” award for her work in advocating for equality and social justice. The award is given to a student who is using the skills learned in speech and debate to advocate for change in their community. Simi’s work in RISE, STRIDE, and We, Too, Are Ladue were highlighted in her nomination.
