On Monday, March 30, 2015, first-graders held a grand opening for “Button Madness.”
The students created a clay button business after learning about economics in class. Not only did they produce the buttons, they helped to get the word out about their sale.
All proceeds benefited the American Heart Association through the Jump Rope for Heart program, which is big business. Last year, Reed Elementary School reached an all time high donating more than $24,000 to the AHA.
