Ladue Horton Watkins High School alumna Lise Bernstein, (nee Fremder) class of ’73, has been recognized for her volunteer leadership in social justice. Lise is one of ten in the 2015 class for the Women of Achievement Awards.
In 1955, the defunct St. Louis-Globe Democrat newspaper created an awards program that later became known as the Women of Achievement Award. Since then, the award is the oldest ongoing program in St. Louis whose sole mission is to honor women in volunteer leadership and service.
