The 2015 Mid-America Emmy Nominations have been announced, and HEC-TV has been nominated for 19 awards, one of which included work from Ladue Horton Watkins High School students!

The students participated in the Explore! Flying segment, nominated as an Informational/Instructional/Program Special. This segment is targeted to students in grades three through six and explores the concepts of flying.

The introduction reads: “Have you ever thought how cool it would be if you could fly? Wondered what keeps birds, planes and bumblebees up in the air? Been intrigued by piloting acrobatic planes or a supersonic jet? Want to find out?”
