Student Stacks His Way to the Top at the Junior Olympics

Oscar Yanuck poses with his medal.

One of Reed Elementary School’s students, Oscar Yanuck, deserves a big congratulations for coming in first at the 2015 AAU Junior Olympic Games Sport Stacking Championships in Virginia this past weekend!

If you’re unfamiliar with sport stacking, it’s an activity where participants stack specialized plastic cups as quickly as possible into specific sequences. The governing body is the World Sport Stacking Association. More than 270 stackers competed, representing four countries and 34 states!

Oscar, 6, will be a first-grader this fall. He already holds three Missouri state records in the sport. Way to go, Oscar!
