Writing out a few goals and mustering up some motivation has launched one Ladue Horton Watkins High School student’s success on the tennis court! Sophomore Emma Warticovschi has jumped from the No. 6 singles spot for LHWHS last season to the No. 1 singles player for the Rams this season.

“I practiced all summer long and I worked out with the Ladue football players,” Emma told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I feel it is an accomplishment and I look forward to playing some of the top players in the area, and the only thing I can do is play my best against them and make them work for every point.”

Not only has Emma been successful athletically, but she also set rigorous academic goals for herself this year, too. To read more about Emma’s latest matches, check out this news article. Congratulations on your victories, Emma!
