The Ladue Horton Watkins boys soccer team is racking up the points and taking home the wins. The Rams beat Parkway West in a Class 3 sectional at Pattonville with a 2-0 win on Tuesday, Nov. 3, a feat that will advance them to the state quarterfinals for the third year.
To take on Pattonville, the Rams first had to beat MICDS on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The LHWHS boys won the match 3-0 and consequently won their fourth straight Class 3 District 5 title!
Ladue forward Chris Naunheim now has a tally of 16 goals this season, the last the deciding goal against Parkway West.
“That kid is just phenomenal in the postseason,” Ladue senior midfielder Austin Powell told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “He’ll do whatever he needs to do to find his way to the goal and he’ll put the ball in the back of the net, no doubt.”
The Rams will play against St. Dominic in the state quarterfinals on Saturday.
