Our schools understand the gift of giving; many students and staff have been working to raise funds for various charities and philanthropies this semester. Recently, Ladue Middle School held a penny war competition that raised a total of $1667 for the organization Free the Children. The school’s annual canned food drive also raised a combined total of about 14,300 cans for Gateway 180, a nonprofit 24-hour family emergency shelter.
Students who donated 100 cans or more had the opportunity to throw a pie in staff members’ faces. Check out the photos below from the celebration!
