Ten High School Students Qualify for International DECA Competition

Ladue Horton Watkins High School’s DECA students competed in the Missouri State DECA competition from March 13-15 in the Lake of the Ozarks. About 10 of those students qualified for the international DECA competition in Nashville, Tennessee in April!

DECA prepares students to become leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

In addition to our international qualifiers, senior Semhar Mekonnen was awarded the Lester B. Kesterson Scholarship in the amount of $1000 for her contributions to DECA throughout high school. Sophomore Kaycee Little was named a finalist in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism.
