High School Seniors Show Off Artwork At Exhibit

Photo of the artwork on the wall at the exhibition.

Each year, the high school art department encourages all senior art students to exhibit selections of their artwork from throughout their high school careers. This work is displayed in the Performing Arts Center Lobby for a week, so that everyone has a chance to drop by and view the inspiring work!

Kira Svoboda, Jenna Shanker, Chavonni Meeks and Jay Gaskin were just a few of the artists who participated. Jay plans to attend Forest Park Community College for two years, and then he plans to transfer to a school in New York or California and major in fashion design and minor in dance. Kira will attend Webster University and plans to either major or minor in art. Chavonni plans to take a few college classes at Florissant Valley and get her master’s degree in Psychology. She plans to find a job for the summer before classes begin in the fall. Jenna is the art editor for the school’s student newspaper, the Panorama. She is as yet undecided as to which school she will attend in the fall.
