Two Ladue Horton Watkins High School girls soccer players made the All-Metro Third Team, which can be seen here. Both 2016 graduating seniors, Lizzy Puyo and Anna Hartig left their marks on the program with several prominent accomplishments during their careers:

  • Lizzy Puyo: “Puyo capped her historic career for the Rams by helping them win their first district championship in nearly three decades. Her team-leading 25 goals left her with 79 for her career, the most ever by a Ladue player. Puyo scored in 16 of her team’s 27 games while recording three hat tricks, and she also had six game-winning goals and three assists.”
  • Anna Hartig: “Nineteen of the Rams’ 24 wins came by shutout, and Hartig spearheaded that effort as a steady player on the back line. She was especially good at man marking and created her own matchup problems on the attacking end, finishing with 11 goals to rank third among Ladue players. Hartig was second on the team with four game-winners, helping the Rams win their first district title in 28 years.”

Congratulations, ladies!
