Congratulations to Jeffrey Wang, a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, for his graduation from the 32nd annual Research Science Institute this summer!
RSI is a highly competitive summer research program for high school students around the world. This rigorous academic program stresses advanced theory and research in mathematics, the sciences and engineering. This year, Jeffrey completed a research paper entitled “Effects of Variable Flux and Beam Energy in Nitrogen Ion Treatment on Single Photon Emissions of Defect Centers in hBN” under the direction of Professor Dirk Englund at Department of Quantum Photonics of MIT.
The program is free of charge for those selected. This year, 52 students from the U.S. and 30 international students attended the institute held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from June 26 to Aug. 6.
