LMS 8th Grader Speaks at Women’s March on St. Louis Rally

Lauryn Donovan poses in front of the rally.

This past Saturday at the Women’s March on St. Louis, LMS 8th grader and activist Lauryn Donovan spoke to the more than 20,000 marchers as the youngest of the rally’s scheduled speakers! She led the march with fellow speakers organizers including Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal and Missouri U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill.

The march was held in conjunction with the Women’s March on Washington, D.C.,  to show unity in the fight for the rights of women and other marginalized groups. The march began at Union Station and headed down Market Street, ending at Luther Ely Smith Square with a rally. Non-partisan group DefendHERS, LLC organized the event.
