Reilly Ahearn, a senior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, has been in the news lately for his achievements as a golf player. On May 8, Reilly shot 7 under par for a round of 65 to win the sectional golf tournament. His score set an all-time state record for being the lowest round ever in a district, sectional or state tournament!
He has already accepted a scholarship to play at UMSL, which is nationally ranked. But behind all of his success was the loss of his mother, the person who offered constant support and drove him to all of his tournaments. See this segment by News Channel 5 for more on Reilly’s story.
