LECC Students Learn About Diversity for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

LECC students participate in activities for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, like looking at two different colored eggs and then cracking them open to see that they are the same on the inside, even through their exterior colors are different.

To commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day last week, some teachers at the Ladue Early Childhood Center organized an educational activity for the kiddos. In the Fish room, the students cracked open a white and brown egg to see how they are the same on the inside even though the exterior colors are different. The teachers than translated that observation to the students by asking them to look at how their skin tones were diverse, but everyone is the same on the inside.
