Two Ladue School District students competed at the U.S. Chess Federation’s National Junior High (K-9) Championship held April 6-8 in Atlanta, Georgia. Over 1,100 students from 39 states played in the tournament.
Joshua Fundler (8) played in the K-8 Open division, and finished with three wins in a very competitive field of 300 players. Katie Eisenman (9) competed in the K-9 Under 1250 division and tied for 25th place out of a field of 162 players.
