2017-2018 Varsity Wrestling Team Meets with Coaches

The rams wrestling team took 9 wrestlers up to Hannibal, Missouri, for a 2-day district tournament in hopes of each wrestler placing in the top 4 and qualifying for the state tournament. At 106 lbs, Jake Mann has been dominant all season and continued that trend as he pinned his way through his bracket for his 1st district championship and a trip down to state next weekend. Senior captain Jacob Orsay was just as dominant keeping his record at a flawless 34-0, winning his finals match 13-4 and his 2nd straight district title. Orsay will look to improve on his 3rd place finish at the state tournament a year ago. Senior Captain Aidan Morley competed in a bracket with 2 of the top 4 wrestlers in the state and finished 3rd and will take his 3rd and final trip to the state tournament looking for his first state medal.  Sophomore Callen Morley won 2 big matches, 1 Friday and 1 Saturday to qualify for his first state tournament finishing 4th at 182 lbs. The Rams will head to the University of Missouri – Columbia Thursday morning to compete in the MSHSAA State Championships.
