The Ladue Boys Tennis team won the Class 2 district championship with a 5:4 over Chaminade at the Chaminade College Preparatory School on Wednesday.
After Doubles, the Ladue Schools team led 2:1 going into the six singles matches. Aaron Umen (12) won 6:0, 6:0 and Jeremy Ouyang (10) won 6:1, 6:0 easily for the first two singles matches. The team lost three other singles matches, which brought the score to 4:4. The win came down to Ladue’s Alex Kemppainen and Chaminade’s Brendan Cunnane. Alex stayed calmed and focused and finished the set 6:2. Rams won!
