Ladue Schools Teen Participates in Camp Fury STL

Camp Fury STL is a week-long camp held each summer for female teens to gain hands-on experience on how to become a firefighter, paramedic or police officer. Two local firefighters, Katie Carr from Metro West Fire Protection District and Gina Anderson from Fenton Fire Protection District, co-found this camp with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri because they recognize that more women need the opportunity to be introduced into these male-dominated fields.

During camp, the teen participants put on fire gear, extinguish live fires, learn police tactics, receive EMS training and much more.

Chastity Jones, now a freshman at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, participated over the summer after her transition from Ladue Middle School. Chastity is a guest participant in the segment above! Check it out!
