Two Speech and Debate Team Members Earn Highest Degree

Two seniors on the Ladue Horton Watkins high School (LHWHS) speech and debate team, Max Kornfeld (12) and Hale Masaki (12), have earned the Degree of Premier Distinction (1,500 points) in the National Speech and Debate Association!

The Degree of Premier Distinction is a reflection of four years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in speech and debate. It is the highest honor a student member of the National Speech and Debate Association can earn. This recognition reflects an incredible dedication to the Talking Rams and to the activity of speech and debate. Fewer than 1% of students in the National Speech and Debate Association achieve this level of recognition. In addition to competing, Hale and Max both serve in leadership roles on the team and have played an integral part in mentoring and teaching younger team members.

Let’s give a hearty congratulations to Max and Hale for this tremendous honor!
