LHWHS senior William Xie made his mark at the Economics for Leaders virtual program this past summer.
The week-long program focused on helping students gain a better understanding of how to integrate economics into their everyday decision-making process.
William was one of about 30 students who participated in the course conducted by the Foundation for Teaching Economics.
During the course, students explored correlations between economics and leadership through challenging activities and simulations.
To end the week, students take a rigorous, 30-question exam designed to measure their understanding of basic economic principles.
William earned a rating of Excellence on the exam, the highest level attainable.
