Patricia Brown, technology specialist at Old Bonhomme Elementary, will be a featured speaker at The State of Black Educators Symposium (SBE21) in February.
The Symposium began in 2020 as a way to bring together people and organizations interested in discussing better ways to recruit, develop, support, and mentor Black educators.
SBE21, which will be held virtually, is a two-day event that focuses on practical solutions to address inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-bias, and anti-racism within schools.
Brown will join in a panel of speakers on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The inaugural 2020 event drew almost 1,600 attendees, and organizers expect this year’s virtual event to attract more than 2,000 participants.
