Becky Sauerbrunn, a 2003 graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School, has been named captain of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.
She will lead the team as it prepares for and competes in the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, scheduled to begin July 23.
Sauerbrunn has recorded 178 appearances with the USWNT in her career, which includes three World Cup and two Olympics appearances.
