Grace Hu Earns Highest Rank in National Forensic League

LHWHS senior Grace Hu has earned the Degree of Premier Distinction in the National Forensic League of the National Speech and Debate Association.

This is the highest level a student can achieve in speech and debate, as less than one percent of all competitors reach this degree.

Grace uses her speech and debate platform to advocate for equity, inclusion, and systemic reforms.

She has qualified for the state and national tournaments and serves as the school’s team president, Policy Debate co-coordinator, and previously served as student tournament director for the 2020 Ladue Novice Invitational.

The NSDA Honor Society recognizes middle and high school students for participation in speech and debate activities, along with community service, public speaking, and leadership activities.

Students earn points for different activities and must earn 1,500 points to achieve Premier Distinction.
