Fifty-four LHWHS Seniors Awarded Seal of Biliteracy

Fifty-four seniors in the Class of 2021 have been awarded the Seal of Biliteracy, acknowledging their proficiency in English and one or more other world languages by high school graduation.

The seal is a statement of accomplishment that helps signal evidence of a student’s readiness for career and college, and for engagement as a global citizen.

The Seal of Biliteracy was first established in California and awarded to students as a state-level recognition in 2012; Missouri first recognized students with the award in 2017.

The LHWHS students who have earned the seal, including their language and proficiency level based on the ACTFL Assessment of Performance Toward Proficiency in Languages, include:
