Ladue Horton Watkins High School junior Anthony Wang has once again been invited to the USA Computing Olympiad (USACO) summer training camp beginning May 29.
Anthony is one of 26 students from around the country, and the only student from Missouri, invited to attend the prestigious pre-college computer science camp; he attended in May 2020 as well.
Students invited to the camp will be challenged by advanced instructional material provided by the USACO staff.
The training camp will run from May 29 to June 5, as participants will be competing for four spots on the team that will represent the USA at the 2021 International Olympiad in Informatics.
Anthony also enjoys sharing his love of computer science with Ladue Schools community, having founded the Ladue Middle School computer science club in an effort to inspire young kids, especially girls, to pursue computer science.
He has prepared lectures, fun activities, and friendly competitions for the computer science clubs at both the Ladue Middle School and high school with the overall goal of making computer science fun and accessible for students at all levels.
The USACO supports computing education in the USA and worldwide by identifying, motivating, and training high-school computing students at all levels.
