LHWHS Juniors Finish in Top 10% of National STEM Competition

LHWHS juniors Aditya Kondepudi and Anthony Wang teamed up to place among the top 10% of projects entered into this year’s Toshiba/National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) ExploraVision Contest.

The students earned an Honorable Mention in the competition, which challenges K-12 students from across the U.S. and Canada to create innovative technologies to solve real-world problems.

Their project, Plane-Oriented Graphene Field Effect Transistors, focused on creating smaller and faster microchips that would provide more energy efficiency in all applications.

It was the only project in Missouri to receive Honorable Mention in the high school division.
