LHWHS rising senior Danielle Zhang has been awarded 2nd place in the 2021 2nd District Congressional Art Competition.
The competition is held each spring and recognizes the artistic talent of students in Missouri’s 2nd district.
Danielle’s ink drawing “Ad Astra” was one of 38 submissions to the contest; entries were judged by three professional artists.
For receiving 2nd place, Zhang’s work will be displayed in U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner’s Washington D.C. office for the next year.
The Congressional Art Competition began in 1982; accepted media includes drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photographs.
