Three LHWHS Sophomores Recognized as New Eagle Scouts

Three LHWHS sophomores have earned the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America organization.

Matthew Awad, Sammy Bufalino, and Nick Raibley all were awarded the distinction in a ceremony on Sept. 28.

Friends since first grade, the three scouts started out at Reed Elementary’s Cub Scout Pack 344 and progressed to Clayton Boy Scout Troop 21.

Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program; less than 8% percent of Scouts earn this rank.

Earning the Eagle Scout rank requires completion of an Eagle project and demonstration of immense hard work, discipline, motivation, leadership, accountability, and service in the community.
