Cindy Yan to Perform in Belleville Philharmonic Concert

LHWHS sophomore Cindy Yan will play piano in the Belleville Philharmonic’s Stars of Tomorrow Halloween Spooktacular Concert on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Yan was invited to perform as one of three winners of the Belleville Philharmonic’s Stars of Tomorrow Young Artist Competition.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 1200 Moreland Dr. in Belleville; admission is free.

Yan has studied piano for almost 10 years under Laura Schindler and made her orchestral debut at the age of 10 with the University City Symphony Orchestra.

She won first place in the New York Steinway Competition in 2018 and is a five-time winner in the annual Missouri Music Teachers Association State Competition in solo piano.
