LHWHS alums Essete Workineh ’21 and Johnny Yeldham ’21 are among 11 St. Louisans selected to participate in the German-American Sister Cities Youth Forum.
The forum is a virtual exchange designed to engage young civic leaders ages 14 to 21 in Germany and the U.S. in a transatlantic dialogue about issues confronting their local communities.
The students earned the opportunity as members of Youth Leadership St. Louis; the organization will partner with a youth leadership group in Stuttgart, Germany for the forum.
The St. Louis-Stuttgart partnership is one of five sister city pairings of American and German cities as part of the program.
Both Workineh and Yeldham currently are first-year students in the Arts & Sciences program at Washington University.
