LHWHS Students Attend HOSA State Leadership Conference

Four LHWHS students attended the HOSA – Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference (SLC) March 28 and 29 in Rolla, Mo.

Arya Bhushan (12), Aditya Kondepudi (12), Cindy Yan (10), and Annie Zhao (10) all were invited to compete after qualifying in the top four in their chosen health sciences regional competition.

Additionally, by placing in the top two of their SLC competition, Kondepudi (2nd place, Pathophysiology), Yan (1st place, Epidemiology), and Zhao (1st place, Persuasive Writing and Speaking) will now advance to the International Leadership Conference this summer in Nashville.

HOSA conferences invite students to compete in a wide range of events relating to health occupations topics.

HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is an international student organization that aims to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.
