Both the Ladue Middle School and Ladue Horton Watkins High School Science Olympiad teams performed well at the Missouri Science Olympiad State Tournament on April 9.
The LMS team (pictured) took first place out of 31 schools in the middle school division, earning the top score in nine of 22 events.
The LHWHS took second place out of 32 schools in the high school division of the state tournament, earning the top score in 11 of 22 events.
As a result of its first-place finish, LMS will advance to the virtual 38th Annual Science Olympiad National Tournament in May.
This is the 27th time in the last 30 years that LMS will represent Missouri at the event.
LMS will compete in a field of 60 middle school teams from around the country for the national championship.
