Giuseppe Di Cera ’20 has earned a 2022 Stamps Scholarship from the Stamps Scholars Program.
Di Cera, a rising junior at the University of Chicago, is one of only 247 college students from across the country to earn the recognition; 413,000 students initially applied.
The Stamps Scholars Program partners with 31 universities across the U.S. and U.K. to recognize students for their academic excellence, leadership, dedication to service, and character.
Scholarships help fund tuition costs as well as provide enrichment funds that Scholars can use for academic and professional development.
Di Cera currently is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Molecular Engineering.
Along with his studies, Di Cera also runs the Student Opportunities Network, a business he started while attending LHWHS.
The Student Opportunities Network works with more than 20 St. Louis-area businesses and organizations to create work, internship, and volunteering positions for local high school and college students; to date, the business has helped place around 300 students in various roles.
The Stamps Scholars Program began in 2006, and many recipients have gone on to receive prestigious awards including Fulbright, Gates Cambridge, and Rhodes Scholarships.
